Former Mamelodi Sundowns captain Hlompho Kekana has made an admission why he was never able to score against Itumeleng Khune during their playing days.
The two former Bafana Bafana captains played on opposite ends with Kekana marshalling the midfield for Masandawana and Khune between the sticks for the Glamour Boys.

Kekana has scored some of the most memorable long-range goals but has never put any past Khune who was number one at Chiefs and Bafana for a long time.
Speaking on SABC TV while doing pundit work for the on-going Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament with Thabiso Mosia, Kekana joked that Khune was lucky when asked why he’s never scored against him.
“He is one of the luckiest goalkeepers I’ve ever seen,” said Kekana.
“He knew his game very well in and out. He knew how to study his opponents and with me, I always knew that I wasn’t going to score against him, simply because he understood the game very well, and he studied the game.
Khune’s response was that he and his coaches always did thorough analysis for every game.
“No, we had a proper planning before every game against all the opponents,” added Khune.
“And I knew that every time the ball goes to my skipper [Kekana], I needed to check how far my goalposts were. And I will just turn, face the goalposts and then just sprint.
“And by the time I get to the goalposts it’s easy for me to just trap it.”
