Kodisang Shines Despite Bafana Snub

Moreirense winger Kobamelo Kodisang produced a stellar performance in a seven-goal thriller against Portimonense in Liga Portugal on Sunday.

Kodisang has been left out of the Bafana Bafana 50-man preliminary squad for the African Cup Of Nations in Ivory Coast which will kick off in the second week of January 2024.

The 24-year-old was part of the side in September that faced Namibia and DR Congo in two friendly matches.

After not starting the season well he lost his place in the national team before the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda.

The former Braga talent came from the bench against Portimonense. It took him 35 minutes to produce a five-star performance with two assists which took his tally number of assists to three this season.

He also scored his first goal of the season. Despite missing the AFCON, there are still FIFA World Cup qualifiers that will resume in 2025.
