Bafana Bafana have remained unchanged in the latest FIFA world rankings published on Thursday.
South Africa picked up a win and draw in their latest friendly matches, beating Mozambique 2-0 after a goalless draw with Tanzania.
They are currently on an 20-match unbeaten under Hugo Broos, but results in the COSAFA Cup, where Bafana reached the final but only won two out of their five games seem to have hurt, as they count as official FIFA matches.
As a consequence Bafana have remained unchanged in 56th place worldwide and 10th in Africa in the latest world rankings.
Morocco remain the highest-ranked African nation in 12th overall, followed by Senegal in 18th and Egypt in 34th.
Algeria in 36th and Nigeria in 44th complete Africa’s top five. Ivory Coast follows in 45th, Tunisia in 49th and Cameroon in 51st, with Mali 54th and Bafana 56th.
