Bafana Bafana utility player Thapelo Morena has revealed a mistake the team made against Zimbabwe, cautioning that they must not repeat it when they face Rwanda.
The Mamelodi Sundowns star was speaking with SAFA media department as the team gears up for the last match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Bafana will welcome Rwanda to Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday, 14 October with kickoff at 6 pm, aiming to secure a victory with as many goals as possible to boost their position for a World Cup spot.
The team understands they need to score, says Morena, but they want to avoid the pressure they put themselves under against Zimbabwe—which may have contributed to their failure to convert chances.
He stated that they will come out guns blazing, believing the goals will come naturally as the match progresses.
“We went into the Friday game [against Zimbabwe] focusing on getting the goal, trying our level best to score,” said Morena.
“We rushed our decisions, everything was on the rush. I feel it’s also the foot that we put in the game.
“So, in this game, we’re definitely gonna go guns blazing but not too edgy to get the goal. Eventually, we will get goals.
“It’s one thing that we do especially when we play home. And we have advantage because people will come out and support.
“And also, we believe in everyone in the team. Putting the hard work and making sure that we do very well in the final third, it’s gonna be much better this time.”
