New Bafana Bafana head coach Pitso Mosimane has confirmed his technical team, with two of his long-standing colleagues joining him at the national team.
On Tuesday, Mosimane was unveiled as new South Africa coach to succeed Hugo Broos at the helm of Bafana during a media briefing at SAFA House.
Mosimane confirmed that his long-term analyst Musi Matlaba and long-term conditioning coach Kabelo Rangoaga will join him, pointing out that both have completed their coaching qualifications and are now coaches in their own rights.
“We’ve been together, we’ve had our long journey,” Mosimane stated.
“There has been obstacles, but more successful than obstacles.
“We’ve won 19 trophies together, among them four CAF Champions League finals, and three FIFA Club World Cups.
“There is enough experience, we are familiar with the FIFA World Cup.”
Mosimane also confirmed that another assistant coach is yet to be appointed.
“Another assistant coach is still coming. We are working on that, it’s not easy, some coaches are under contract. We will announce that later,” Mosimane added.
