Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi congratulated Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos after qualifying for AFCON and has demanded “more” from Rushwin Dortley.
Nabi was left impressed by the way Bafana Bafana played after finishing top of Group K admitting that it’s the type of football that he likes.
The former Young Africans coach touched on Dortley, who has been making waves in the country after producing solid performances in the national team and at club level. Dortley made his senior Bafana debut in the 2-2 draw against Uganda.
Since then, he has played all the matches in the national team, which led to Bafana qualifying for AFCON for the second successive time.
“Firstly, congratulations to Bafana Bafana for a big performance and qualification and the high level of football,” Nabi told the media ahead of Amakhosi’s league match against Richards Bay.
“This is the DNA of South African football; I love this football. I wish for a big achievement.”
The Tunisian mentor also took time to praise Dortley though he believes the Bafana centre-back can be at a higher level if he digs a bit deep into his performances.
“Dortley is a big player but has the potential for progression,” he said.

“He has a big potential, a good personality, a very good education, and is a lovely guy, but I’m sure he is in 60%, 70% for his performance if he gives more.
“And I’m happy for his recruitment, a big thank you to the [Chiefs] committee for his recruitment.”
