Bafana Bafana suffered a blow ahead of the crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers after Iqraam Rayners had to withdraw and was replaced by Evidence Makgopa.
Rayners had been part of Hugo Broos’ final 23-man squad but had to withdraw due to medical reasons. It’s the second change Broos has had to make after Mduduzi Shabalala already replaced Relebohile Mofokeng.

“Iqraam Rayners has been withdrawn from the Bafana Bafana camp due to medical reasons,” Bafana stated.
“He was released back to his club this morning. Evidence Makgopa has been called up as his replacement.”
Bafana face Zimbabwe on Friday at Moses Mabhida Stadium before hosting Rwanda at Mbombela Stadium next week Tuesday.
