The 31-year-old goalkeeper has enjoyed an impressive season, recording 11 clean sheets in 18 appearances across all competitions.

Petersen Shares Thoughts On Carling All-Stars Inclusion
His performances have earned him inclusion in Bafana Bafana’s provisional squads on a few occasions, including the initial 54-man squad for AFCON, although he ultimately missed out on the final selection.
Despite this, Petersen has reiterated his desire to represent the national team, stressing that his primary focus remains on maintaining strong club form to boost his chances.
“At the end of the day, yes I want to be in the national team, I want to represent my country but for me personally, my first and the most important job is at Kaizer Chiefs; they pay my salary, and that’s where I work,” said Petersen.
“I always say that the only thing I can control is my performances at club level. I can’t control what the national coach, [Hugo Broos] does, that is his job.
“Whether he picks me or not, I can’t complain about that. But obviously, as a footballer, I always want to be there, because that is my aim.
“But my main focus is performing at club level and try to be the best I can be.”
