Banyana Banyana head coach Dr Desiree Ellis has named a strong starting line-up for this evening’s final Group C clash against Mail at the Honneur Stadium.
This is a second meeting between the sides at the tournament with the other encounter a 2-0 victory for South Africa at the 2018 edition in Ghana. They are currently tied on four points from two matches however Banyana have a superior goal difference and sit at the summit of the group. The sides have also qualified for the quarterfinals with Banyana aiming to top the group.
In the last match, the 1-1 draw against Tanzania, Ellis had made four changes including one in the goalkeeping area. The winner of the group will face the third-best side from either Group A or B (Senegal or Botswana) while the runners-up will face the team that finished second from Group B which is Algeria.
