Banyana Banyana head coach Desiree Ellis maintains that they will not go up against the physicality of Tanzania but will rather stick to their strengths.
The defending African Champions got their title defence off on a good note as they dispatched Ghana 2-0 courtesy of Linda Motlhalo and Jermaine Seoposenwe’s first-half strikes.

Speaking to the media ahead of their Group C clash this evening, Ellis urged her charges not to get physical with their opponents which could go against them.
“Well, we’ve played teams like that before, but we know they still have their physicality in the squad. Especially in their defensive side,” Ellis said.
“We are quite used to that; playing teams that are physically stronger than us.
“But we gotta stick to our strengths with the way we move the ball around, our movement off the ball. With the pace that we have and with our conversions.
“We gotta stick to what we are good at because physically it means we can’t match them.
“You look when we played against England they were physically stronger than us but the way we moved the ball around, they way we got behind them, I think the 2-1 loss was probably not a true reflection.
“So, we have to stick to what we good at because we’re not going to change for anything.
“That is our strength, that is our DNA and that is what we’re good at.”
