Launch Date For New Banyana & Bafana Kit Revealed

The new Banyana Banyana and Bafana Bafana kit will be unveiled by LeCoqSportif this week Friday, iDiski Times has learnt.

The kit manufacturer for South Africa’s national team jerseys had asked for local designers to submit their designs, which were then presented to Bafana and Banyana players to vote for their top designs.

Out of over 50 different design entries, Lwazi Ngcungama of FreewayartsD was selected as the winner of the competition.

With the winning design being announced in November, many were left wondering when the new kits would be unveiled.

This publication has now learnt that the actual kits will be unveiled by LeCoqSportif on Friday, 28 April for a soft launch of the new strips, with focus on Banyana Banyana ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Banyana will wear the new kit during the tournament in Australia and New Zealand in July and August.

A source also told iDiski Times that LeCoqSportif, in co-operation with Lwazi, had to make some adjustments to the winning designs so the South African Football Association could get the kits approved by FIFA.

Keep your eyes glued on the social channels of LeCoqSportif and iDiski Times for further updates on the new kits.
