Banyana Banyana midfielder Regina Mogolola believes that teamwork will be key in South Africa’s quest to defend their Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title in Morocco.
Banyana are currently in Casablanca putting final touches to their preparations of the tournament that starts this coming weekend. They open their account in Group C against Ghana on Monday 7 July in Oujda, followed by the match against Tanzania four days later and conclude the group stage against Mali on 14 July.

The JVW FC player has made a return to the senior national side after a seven-year absence, her last time being in the 2018 edition in Ghana where Banyana finished second.
She is excited to be back in the Banyana fold and emphasised teamwork as a big ingredient for the team to achieve their targets.
“We are feeling good,” Mogolola told Safa.net.
“We are preparing, and we are prepared also and every day we are learning. We know what it will take to defend our title and we’re going to have to work as a team.
“We’re going to have to play for one another. We’re going to have to support one another and when we have the ball, we have to share with one another, and we’re going to have to do it all together.
“Remember football is about teamwork we need to be very open to one another, knowing that when the day of the tournament starts, we go out there and we fight for one another, we play for one another. Yes, because we are here as a team and representing our country.”
