10 To 11 AmaZulu Players Will Be Out Of Contract

AmaZulu FC head coach Pablo Franco Martin stated that Usuthu players have until end of the season to fight for new contracts, as 10 to 11 of his players are out of contract in June.

Usuthu completed the double over Cape Town City this past weekend, beating them 1-0 in horrible weather at DHL Stadium.

The KwaZulu-Natal-based side’smsolitary goal from Ivorian Sede Junior Dion was enough to hand them all three points to keep their chances of finishing in the top eight alive.

With the contract of Augustine Kwem coming to an end at the end of current season, iDiski Times journalist asked Martin about the situation as there are only two months left before the end of June.

“This talk that we are going to have at the end of the season. Chidi Kwem is ending his contract and I think another 10 or 11 players are in a similar situation. So, from there, I think this is normal in football,” Martin told iDiski Times.

“Seasons are coming to an end, there are players who are ending their contracts, there are players who already have now talk with some other clubs. We all need to be professional, and we need to perform, from here till the end of the season.

“If we are performing – all of us, coaches and players will have better opportunities to get better contracts. And for me, as I told you before, all the players are important.

“Sometimes they are playing more, sometimes less, sometimes they are treating injuries and that’s why they cannot play.

“Maybe one game or two games after maybe we see that they are not ready 100% to be back in competition because they need that time to adapt again and to reach their best level physically, mentally, technically tactically, and that’s the situation with many players, not only from AmaZulu but I think in PSL.

“All the teams are in the same situation right now.”
