Kaizer Chiefs have announced their starting line-up for this afternoon’s Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates at the FNB Stadium.
Chiefs are still finding their form despite winning back-to-back matches last week for the first time since September. Booking a place in the Last-16 of the Nedbank Cup will boost their confidence.
But Amakhosi haven’t had their best season, sitting in fifth place with 21 points after 14 games, 12 points behind league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns and six behind their Soweto rivals, who have three games in hand.
Leading to the Soweto Derby they’ve won three of their last five league matches and lost two.
The Ephefeni Glamour Boys haven’t won the Soweto Derby against Pirates since February 2023, with Jose Riveiro winning his last three, while this is Nasreddine Nabi’s first Soweto Derby.
