The 2024/25 Betway Premiership fixtures have been revealed after a draft communiqué was sent to Premier Soccer League club’s for approval.
On Wednesday PSL chairman Dr. Irvin Khoza had confirmed that Betway have replaced DStv as title sponsor for the Premiership, in a deal worth R900 million.
He did mention that domestic football will return on 3 August, but that’s when the MTN8 tournament will kick off.
The actual Betway Premiership starts on 14 September with a Tshwane Derby between defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United at Loftus Versfeld at 15:00.
Also in the same time slot is a clash between Royal AM and Cape Town City at Harry Gwala Stadium.
Orlando Pirates host Chippa United at Orlando Stadium at 17:30, while Marumo Gallants host Kaizer Chiefs at Toyota Stadium during the same time.
Saturday’s fixtures conclude with Polokwane City hosting AmaZulu at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium and Sekhukhune United welcoming newbies Magesi FC at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium, with both games kicking off at 20:00.
On Sunday, Richards Bay host TS Galaxy at the King Zwelithini Stadium at 15:00 before Stellenbosch FC welcome Golden Arrows at Danie Craven Stadium at 17:30.
The first games of Sundowns, Sekhukhune, Pirates and Stellenbosch also have alternative kick off dates on Tuesday, 17 September and Wednesday, 18 September to avoid clashes with the CAF interclub competition second preliminary rounds.
