7/8 MTN8 Spots Confirmed

Seven of the eight MTN8 spots have been confirmed after the final matchday of Betway Premiership fixtures, with Kaizer Chiefs missing out again

Even though some games are still outstanding, seven places in the top eight have been secured.

On Saturday, AmaZulu and Polokwane secured their place in the top eight, with draws against Orlando Pirates (1-1) and Polokwane City (0-0), respectively.

Mamelodi Sundowns had long booked their spot after securing their eighth successive Betway Premiership – the same goes for second-placed Orlando Pirates.

Stellenbosch FC, who secured third spot on Saturday with a goalless draw against Cape Town City, as well as fourth-placed Sekhukhune United complete the top bracket, with Babina Noko going down 3-2 to Golden Arrows.

TS Galaxy had also booked their spot already, despite sitting out in the final match day of the season.

Three more spots were up for grabs ahead of the final matchday of the season, with Usuthu and Polokwane City securing their spots.

Richards Bay currently sit in eighth spot after beating SuperSport United 2-0, but they could still be overtaken by Golden Arrows or Magesi.

The final spot is still up for grabs, with Magesi, Richards Bay and Golden Arrows having one more game outstanding.
