Kaizer Chiefs moved into fourth place in the Betway Premiership after dispatching Magesi FC 2-0 in at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday evening.
There were three changes rang to the starting line-up for the home side, with Aden McCarthy coming in for injured Zitha Kwinika, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo replacing Siphesihle Ndlovu, and winger Pule Mmodi taking Ashley Du Preez’s place.

Glody Lilepo had a snap shot at goal in the 10th minute but it went inches wide with Elvis Chipezeze rooted still.
In the 15th minute, Lebohang Maboe’s shot was well saved by Chipezeze at the near post.
Lilepo had another chance from inside the box but his effort sailed over over the cross bar a few moments later.
The hosts then took the lead in the 32nd minute. Lilepo provided the assist for Wandile Duba who pierced through the Magesi before firing past Chipezeze to make it 1-0.
Mcedi Vandala outpaced the Chiefs defenders, but his tame shot failed to trouble Bruce Bvuma in the Chiefs goal on the stroke of half-time.
In the 55th minute, Mduduzi Shabalala got on the end of Dillon Solomons’ cross but not enough power to generate as Chipezeze made an easy save.
Gaston Sirino wasted a glorious chance to increase Chiefs’ lead after a square pass from Mfundo Vilakazi as the South American scuffed his shot wide.
Super sub Mfundo Vilakazi rounded off the win for Amakhosi in the 84th minute after following up on his missed shot, striking low to beat Chipezeze and make it 2-0.
Chiefs are now just a single point behind third-placed AmaZulu who beat Polokwane City 1-0 in the earlier afternoon clash.
