Bafana Bafana defender Kwanda Mngonyama has been spotted training with Siwelele FC ahead of the 2025/26 season.
iDiski Times has reliably been informed that the former AmaZulu centre-back is trying it out at the newly acquisitioned Betway Premiership outfit who purchased SuperSport United’s PSL status.
Mngonyama, 31, was sent packing after spending just one season with Usuthu after spending one season with them.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates man is still going through assessment under the watchful eye of Andre Arendse who is currently the head coach of the side even though it’s not clear if he will lead the side in the new season.
Mngonyama has played 217 games in his Premier Soccer League career, scoring eight goals and assisting on five occasions.
During the 2018/19 season, he was part of the now relegated Cape Town City side that clinched the MTN8.
He most recently captained Bafana as they won the Fair Play Award and finished as silver medal winners at the 2025 COSAFA Cup after losing 3-0 to Angola in the final.
