Former Mamelodi Sundowns captain Alex Bapela is back at Sekhukhune United as the club Chief Scout, iDiski Times has been informed.
Bapela was previously at the club when they were campaigning in the Motsepe Foundation Championship in the 2020/21 season.
When they gained promotion via the boardroom in the same season after they were handed points against Polokwane City, who was found guilty by the PSL to have flouted the Covid-19 rules, Bapela was let go along with technical member Stan Nkoane.
He went to join the ABC Motsepe League side Ditlou in Limpopo.
Recently, the former Sundowns assistant coach was at Mamelodi side Dondol Stars as co-coach that reached the quarter-finals in the Nedbank Cup last season, having knocked SuperSport United and AmaZulu, before losing to eventual winners Orlando Pirates, working alongside Khuliso Rashamuse.
Babina Noko are under a new coach after they sacked Brandon Truter recently, replacing him with Lehlohonolo Seema last month.
The Limpopo side are currently lying 11th on the DStv Premiership table with 17 points after 14 matches, having scored just 12 goals and conceded 13.
Having lost to AmaZulu midweek last week in Durban, Sekhukhune is out of the country, visiting Stade Malien of Mali in Bamako in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage match at 26 Mars Stadium on Wednesday (18:00).
