Former Stellenbosch FC head coach Steve Barker has bid farewell to everyone at his former employers after taking up a coaching job at Tanzanian giants Simba SC.
The 58-year-old tactician was announced as the new man in charge of the Reds of Msimbazi on December 19 which left South African stunned after his impressive work that turned the Cape Winelands outfit into a formidable Betway Premiership side.

During his nine-year tenure at Stellies, the former AmaZulu and AmaTuks mentor steered them into the elite football division before leading them to their first silverware in the club’s history in the form of the Carling Knockout Cup in 2023/24.
Barker has since taken to his social media platforms to thank everyone who has been a part of his journey, simply saying “Thank You♥️”.
