TS Galaxy coach Adnan Beganovic beamed with pride after their upset win over Mamelodi Sundowns, saying he is proud of the players’ efforts.
Kamogelo Sebelebele scored the solitary goal that secured victory against the defending champions in Mbombela, a result that also extended Galaxy’s unbeaten streak to 12 matches in all competitions under Beganovic, and 13th overall.

The result sees the Rockets move to fourth place on the league standings with 25 points in 17 outings, while also bringing a halt to Sundowns’ 10-match winning run.
The 41-year-old took charge of the club late in November 2024 following Sead Ramovic’s departure and he reflected after the Sundowns victory how hard everyone worked to climb up the log, saying the players deserve to bask in their achievement.
“The feeling is beautiful,” said Beganovic on SuperSport TV.
“A win against Sundowns, you can’t say every day you can win a game against Sundowns. It’s a beautiful club so many good players inside.
“But I am so proud of my team, how we played tactically this game, and then how much we play games in February, how we look physically. I am so proud of this group of the players.
“I give all credit to the players, tonight I want to enjoy. We need to enjoy because what we do behind three months is unbelievable. I’m so, so happy I don’t know what to say.

“When I took the team, it was sitting at the bottom with two points. Yes, from the beginning I believed in this team. I believe in this group of players. I talk every day with players. I have meetings in the group.
“We analyse everything, set pieces, we prepare ourselves for every game and then, in the end, I believe we can reach top 8, but what we did until now in this game is unbelievable.
“Yes, we tried to score a second goal because I know it is tough to defend for all 45 minutes, but I know we need to put some meat for the player who can throw pass behind the last line, and then quick players on the side. Yes, we tried.
“I put everything but the air and I’m so happy how everybody played tonight. And then I think TS Galaxy believed, TS Galaxy tonight they have a reason to celebrate.”
