Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef has opened up on how the team managed to turn their season around after a difficult spell, transforming a run of poor results into an impressive streak of five consecutive victories.

Ben Youssef, alongside fellow co-coach Cedric Kaze, had come under fire after the team endured a run of four straight defeats, raising concerns among supporters.
However, with the season nearing its conclusion, the technical team has managed to steady the ship and guide the team back into form.
According to Ben Youssef, the turnaround was driven by honest reflection and in-depth analysis following their inconsistent performances. He explained that the coaching staff and players engaged in extensive discussions to identify the root causes of their struggles.
He believes that by addressing key tactical issues, the team has corrected many of the mistakes that previously led to disappointing displays, resulting in a much-improved and more confident side in recent weeks.
“It’s the mentality that we have. We make a lot of meetings together and we discussed about the situation,” said Ben Youssef.
“When we analyse properly the situation we saw our mistakes. And we said that we have to correct our mistakes.
“So, when you make the right analysis and you see what were your mistakes and then you continue forward, I think that’s the most important thing for us.”
