Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung has claimed “the league is not over” for Amakhosi after his side’s 1-0 win over Stellenbosch FC.
Chiefs moved into fourth place after completing the double over the Cape Winelands side, celebrating their first away in the league win since October.
After the match, a visibly elated Motaung spoke to the SuperSport TV presenters and insisted his side are building under Nasreddine Nabi, while also stating the “league is not over”.
“It’s a journey, we know it is, but we’re cooking. It’s a process. Give it patience and time,” he said.
“To build it takes times, it’s not overnight success. We are there, the league is not over yet.”
“Let’s see how they go the whole season. It’s early days. But it’s because why we signed them, there is a reason – quality is what we wanted.
“To help the young boys with experience and quality, that’s what we wanted do. The jersey is very heavy.
“But we do it for these people, they pack the stadium, they enjoy the game – we do it for them.”
