BREAKING: Spurs Terminate Ralani’s Contract

Relegation-threatened Cape Town Spurs have released the experienced winger Surprise Ralani after less than two months.

Spurs announced the signing of Ralani at the end of October after he spent some time without a club since leaving Mamelodi Sundowns at the end of last season.

In the short time he spent at Spurs, the 36-year-old made five appearances.

According to a close source at the club, they mutually agreed with the veteran attacker to terminate his contract for ‘personal reasons’.

The former Sundowns midfielder is now a free agent and can join a team of his choice.

Meanwhile, Spurs will continue to fight for their lives in the topflight football, with their next fixture away against Mamelodi Sundowns next week.

Ralani’s exit may not be the only one from Ikamva, with others set to follow, including from the goalkeeping department, where the club has just brought in Thembalethu Moses as a new keeper coach.

Players like Chumane Butsaka, Luke Baartman and Ashley Cupido are expected to step up now as, Ernst Middendorp, the new head coach, seeks to stop the run of losses after defeats in his first two games in charge.
