Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Thabo Cele has given an update on his fitness ahead of the Betway Premiership match with TS Galaxy on the weekend.
Chiefs go into the game at the Peter Mokaba Stadium looking to get back to winning ways after two successive losses that saw them remain in eighth place with 29 points.
Cele, who has been a key part of the Amakhosi side since his arrival in January and someone fans have also shown confidence in, was taken off in the second half of Chiefs’ last game, the 2-1 defeat away at Golden Arrows.
The 28-year-old told media in Johannesburg that he and the technical team are still monitoring his situation.
“Well, obviously you saw in the game, I had some discomfort on my calf,” said Cele
“But that is something that we’ve been monitoring with the technical team. And going to see today from how I train today, but it’s something that’s been monitoring with the technical team.”
