Kaizer Chiefs coach Fernando Da Cruz has shared his views on Bafana Bafana’s performances under the leadership of Pitso Mosimane.
The Soweto giants were set to have midfielder Lebohang Maboe represent the club in the national team squad selected for the recent AFCON qualifiers and international friendly matches during the FIFA break.
However, Maboe was forced to withdraw from the squad due to injury and is currently focused on his recovery.
Da Cruz revealed that he watched Bafana Bafana’s matches against Guinea, Eritrea and Egypt, expressing his satisfaction with the team’s performances after they secured victories in all three encounters.
The Chiefs coach also stressed the importance of giving the national team time and patience as the players continue to adapt to a new coach and his methods.
“I think the Bafana Bafana are one of the best teams in Africa,” said Da Cruz.
“And now they have a new head coach, so we need to give him time. But the games that he played were good.
“I watched this game and I was happy about the performance of the team. But we need to give him time, because also he discovers this new group.”
