Kaizer Chiefs and Durban City will be forced to make key adjustments to their line-ups in the Betway Premiership this afternoon due to suspension.
Amakhosi are set to host the Citizens on Sunday, 15 March at the iconic FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, with kickoff scheduled for 15:30.
The fixture is expected to be a closely contested encounter as both teams are fighting for valuable points in the race up the league standings.
Chiefs will head into the match without defender Aden McCarthy and midfielder Sibongiseni Mthethwa.
The pair are suspended after accumulating four yellow cards in the Betway Premiership, which automatically rules them out of the upcoming fixture.
Durban City will also be missing a crucial member of their squad. Influential midfielder Athini Jodwana will not feature after he was shown a red card in their previous Nedbank Cup match against Golden Arrows.
Both teams will be determined to secure all three points for different reasons. Chiefs are desperate to bounce back after a disappointing run that has seen them lose four matches in a row across all competitions.
On the other hand, Durban City come into the clash with momentum on their side. The Citizens are enjoying a strong run of form, having won five matches and drawn one in their last six games across all competitions.
On the league table, Chiefs currently sit sixth with 30 points from 18 matches, while Durban City occupy fourth place with 32 points after playing 20 games.
When the two sides last met earlier in the season, Chiefs managed to secure a narrow but important 1-0 victory away from home at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
