Kaizer Chiefs moved into the third place of the Betway Premiership standings after a 3-1 triumph over Orbit College.
Goals from Wandile Duba, Mduduzi Shabalala and Siphesihle Ndlovu secured a third victory in a row for Amakhosi.
Chiefs made two changes to their previous starting XI, with Given Msimango and Thabiso Monyane replacing Inacio Miguel and Dillan Solomons.
Orbit, meanwhile, rang in six changes as Thulani Jingana, Ben Motshwari, Mbulelo Wagaba, Siyabulela Mabele, Lebohang Lesako and Thabang Mahlangu came in for Brian Onyango, Atisang Batsi, Gomolemo Khoto, Lesedi Kapinga, Thuso Moleleki and Ayanda Lukhele.
Chiefs were nearly caught out early on when debutant Mahlangu struck the post after turning sharply onto a long ball from Ramahlwe Mphahlele.
After that, clear-cut chances were few and far between at either end, although both sides continued to settle into the game and looking for an opener.
In the 22nd minute, Orbit broke the deadlock through Wagaba, who headed home a free-kick past Bruce Bvuma, even though it seemed an easy save to make.
Chiefs pushed forward in search of an equaliser, but the North West outfit held firm. However, just minutes before the break, Wandile Duba brought the scores level, finishing from Bradley Cross’ assist.
While Chiefs dominated possession in the early stages of the second half, both teams showed attacking intent as they chased a second goal.
Both teams managed to create a few promising chances as the match progressed, but neither side was able to find the net, leaving the score still level at the hour mark.
In the 67th minute, Mduduzi Shabalala scored to give Chiefs the lead, finishing off Monyane’s cutback after Duba cleverly leapt over the ball to leave it for him.
Siphesihle Ndlovu sealed the victory in the 78th minute, slotting home the third after being set up by Flavio Silva’s backheel to beat Cyril Chibwe.
Amakhosi held on until the final whistle stretching their winning streak to three matches now, moving to 39 points from 21 games – two ahead of AmaZulu.
