Former Kaizer Chiefs player Junior Khanye has labelled the current crop of Amakhosi players ‘average’ after they scuffed numerous chances in their draw against TS Galaxy.
The comments come at the back of Chiefs’ 1-1 draw with the Rockets last weekend, a result that saw their winless streak stretch to four matches while remaining in eighth place on the log with 30 points with six matches left to play.

Khanye says the lack of quality is not something new as it has made the quality of players also sometimes appear average in his opinion referring to Gaston Sirino saying the Uruguayan showed up in the first half but that the lack of quality gives opposing sides confidence to go toe-to-toe with Chiefs.
“I think Kaizer Chiefs have got average players,” said Khanye on iDiski TV.
“Their players are not good enough, with the exception of Gaston Sirino. That’s why Golden Arrows can bully them. That’s why TS Galaxy had no fear of Kaizer Chiefs. Every club believes they can beat them.
“Chiefs could have won in this game against TS Galaxy. They missed too many chances in the first half. In the second half, TS Galaxy came back and applied themselves. A draw is a fair result.”
