Kaizer Chiefs legend Brian Baloyi has insisted Amakhosi should look at signing Orlando Pirates Zakhele Lepasa to help with their scoring woes.
Lepasa, 27, started the 2023/24 campaign like a house in fire, as he helped Bafana Bafana to qualify for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and secure bronze at the tournament in Ivory Coast.
However, injuries and the form of Tshegofatso Mabasa and Evidence Makgopa has seen him fall down the pecking order at Pirates, which has seen interest rise in his services in this window, from North Africa and SuperSport United locally.
Chiefs, meanwhile, have struggled in front of goal this season, with Nasreddine Nabi understood to be in the market for a new marksman. Baloyi believes
In 2024/25, he has not featured in a single game for the Buccaneers, the Tunisian mentor and his technical team don’t need to look too far, as Lepasa could make a difference at the club.
“There’s a certain player at Pirates who is not playing,” he told Andile Ncube on Metro FM.
“Tell who is better than him at Chiefs. He is a Bafana player, when he plays he’s in Broos’ squad.
“Tell me who is better at Chiefs than him right now, as a striker.”
