Chiefs Star Opens Up On Injury Nightmare

Kaizer Chiefs winger Tebogo Potsane is aiming to finally contribute at the club after having overcome his injury nightmare after eight months on the sidelines.

Potsane missed out on Chiefs’ pre-season in Türkiye as he had to remain behind as he underwent his rehabilitation programme.

The 31-year-old made his return to the pitch last Sunday, coming off the bench in a 2-0 loss against Polokwane City, and also made a big impact as a substitute in the 1-1 draw against Galaxy on Monday.

“I’m really happy that the injury is behind me and I can now focus on playing,” Potsane told Chiefs media department.

“It was not easy at all watching from the sidelines due to injury but I’m grateful to have received the support from my family, team doctors and physios, teammates, and technical team.

“I’m really thrilled to be back in the team and looking forward to getting more game time. I want to contribute to helping the team do well this season.

“As an attacking player, my job is to create goalscoring opportunities, assist, or score and that’s what I’ve been working on.

“The supporters have been fantastic, and I urge them to continue backing us as we work hard on the pitch.”
