Kaizer Chiefs interim coach Cavin Johnson has given an injury update, with Keagan Dolly and Ashley Du Preez still sidelined alongside Thatayoane Ditlhokwe, who will be unavailable for three months after undergoing surgery.
Amakhosi face Polokwane City on Saturday and will hope to make it back-to-back wins after beating Moroka Swallows in their last fixture.
However, Johnson confirmed that he still has some key players absent from the squad.
“Keagan Dolly is still recovering and is still involved in his rehab following his injury against Orlando Pirates.
“TT (Ditlhokwe) came off the operating table yesterday for his shoulder an we expect him to be out for about three months.
“We wish him a good recovery, And Ashley (du Preez) is maybe a week and a half to two weeks away from being back.”
Johnson also warned his side of the Rise and Shine dangermen.
“I know (Ndumiso) Mabena very well. He played for me at Platinum Stars,” he stated.
“He was a good player then and h’s still doing very well now because he looks after himself. And then you have young (Oswin) Appolis, who is also impressive.
“They are a good side. They like to attack, especially at home in Polokwane so we are wary of what we are coming up against, but well ready for the challenge.”
Both teams have 17 points after 13 games with Chiefs sitting two spots above Polokwane in nine place based on the better goal difference.
