Kaizer Chiefs have announced that defender Edmilson Dove suffered a serious injury and will need to leave the pre-season camp in Turkiye.
Amakhosi had already confirmed that Tebogo Potsane, Dillan Solomons, and midfielders, George Matlou and Mduduzi Mdantsane did not travel with the squad to Turkiye due different injuries.
While Potsane is the closest to returning to team training, Mdantsane will be sidelined for three months after suffering a broken jaw in a car accident.
On Sunday, Chiefs confirmed that Dove has also joined the club’s treatment table after suffering an undisclosed injury in training.
“Kaizer Chiefs’ defender Edmilson Dove has joined the Club’s injury list after he suffered an injury during Friday’s session at Amakhosi’s pre-season training camp in Türkiye,” the club stated.
“The Mozambican international has been examined by the medical team in camp. He will leave Türkiye and head back to South Africa for a full assessment and medical attention.
“We wish him, and the rest of the injured fellows a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing them back on the training grounds and field of play soon.”
