Chiefs & Sundowns Starting XIs Announced

Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns have announced their starting lineups for this afternoon’s highly anticipated Betway Premiership clash at FNB Stadium.

The biggest game of the season so far promises to be a jam-packed action with tickets for this titanic clash already sold out as high-flying Amakhosi playing at home for the first time this season after being on the road in back-to-back fixtures.

The latest update from FNB Stadium is that kick off has been delayed by 30 minutes and the new Kick Off time is 15:30.

Nasreddine Nabi is having a dream start as Chiefs coach after winning both matches against Marumo Gallants (2-1) and AmaZulu FC (3-1), respectively, attaining something that Amakhosi supporters haven’t witnessed for a very long time.

This clash is expected to be a mouth-watering one as Sundowns equally in great form after also claiming back-to-back wins. They beat Tshwane rivals SuperSport United 2-0 before running riot against Marumo Gallants with a 4-1 thrashing to climb to the summit of the league.

Manqoba Mngqithi and his troops were under massive pressure after they were knocked out of the MTN8, but they are back to form after winning four matches convincingly while conceding just one goal in the process.

These two South African giants have faced each other 108 times with Chiefs winning 41 outings, while Sundowns have won 35, and 32 ties ending in stalemates. Amakhosi have scored 124 goals and Masandawana have scored 117.

Here is how they line up:

Chiefs XI: Ntwari, Dortley, Miguel, Frosler, Cross, Castillo, Maart, Sirino, Shabala, Duba, Chivaviro

Subs: Bvuma, Msimango, Mashiane, Zwane, Blom, Vilakazi, Mmodi, Du Preez, Saile
