Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siyethemba Sithebe has heaped praises on new teammate Edson Castillo, saying he is a special player and a good person off the field.
The Venezuelan joined Amakhosi at the start of the season on a two-year deal with an option to renew.
The 29-year-old has played seven matches for Chiefs in all competitions and scored three goals so far.
Sithebe told iDiski Times senior writer Velile Mnyandu in edition 120 of the newspaper that despite the language challenges Castillo has impressed his teammates.
“I would say, he’s a good guy, he’s a very good guy and so cool” Sithebe told IDiski Times.
“Even though he’s still struggling with the language but football-wise, you know that the language is universal and once something is communicated to him at training, you start to see the special player he is.
“He’s also good off the field, even when we want to communicate something to him on and off the field, we have to call [Edmilson] Dove to assist with the translation and he makes things easy.
“And yeah, I think he is a player that can have dangerous passes, he can play those key passes, he’s got that cover in the middle, even on the offensive, you saw the goal he scored against Cape Town City.
“He’s the kind of a player, who reads the game very well too and he can also manage the game well too, I would say that.”
