Magesi FC captain Elvis Chipezeze feels honoured to nominated as a finalist in two categories at the 2024/25 PSL end-of-season awards.
Chipezeze has enjoyed a resounding return to topflight football after helping the Limpopo side gain promotion last year. He was then instrumental in the side winning their first ever silverware the Carling Knockout Cup where he is a nominee alongside teammate Edmore Chirambadare and Mamelodi Sundowns striker Iqraam Rayners.

This was Magesi’s first trophy in their first season in the Betway Premiership where he was named man of the match in all of Magesi’s games in the cup run.
Chipezeze also helped Dikwena Tṧa Meetse finish in 13th place in the league racking up 10 clean sheets in27 matches. For this effort, the Zimbabwean international received a nomination for the Betway Premiership Goalkeeper of the Season alongside Sipho Chaine of Orlando Pirates and last season’s winner Ronwen Williams and Chipezeze said this is a special moment for him.
“So personally, I’m excited to be part and parcel of the best players in the country,” said Chipezeze
“And to be part of it, it’s something that is very special to me. And looking at the journey where I have come and where I am now all I can say is thank you for everyone who has been involved and the transformation of my career and stuff like that. And we are looking forward to good things happening in this career. So just want to say thank you, and I’m excited to be part and parcel of the best in the country. it’s an honour to be here so thank you very much.
“And I just want to thank all the teammates for the support they’ve given me, the club, my chairman and everyone else who have been involved in this project.”
