Chippa United have reached an agreement with Cape Town Spurs player Khaya Mfecane as he will join as free agent.
Mfecane has been with the Urban Warriors from an early age coming through the club’s juniors and even helped them to return to topflight football after a five-year absence.
The 23-year-old showed his versatility when he played as a right-back, full back and as a central midfielder with the Cape Town-born also having represented South Africa’s U23 as well.
Towards the end of last season, Spurs failed to reach an agreement with Mfecane on a new contract and with his current contract running down at the end of June, the quality midfielder has since reached an agreement with the Chilli Boys on a long-term contract.
The Eastern Cape-based outfit have been busy in the transfer market, roping in Sinesipho Mali as their Sporting Director and secured Sinethemba Badela as their head coach for the upcoming season.
