Chippa United and Kaizer Chiefs have announced their starting line-ups for the DStv Premiership clash at Buffalo City Stadium this afternoon.
Chiefs opted to go ahead with the fixture, despite the tragic passing of Luke Fleurs on Wednesday evening.
It will be a mental battle for Cavin Johnson’s men, who will aim to end their three-match winless run. Amakhosi recently lost 1-0 to Stellenbosch FC at FNB Stadium, their eighth loss of the league this season already.
Amakhosi are sitting eighth on the league table and their chances of finishing in the top three are slowly being demolished.
Meanwhile, Chippa returned to winning ways in midweek, beating Cape Town Spurs by 2-0. They will look to make it two out of two and move closer to the top eight.
The Chilli Boys haven’t lost a game since returning to Buffalo City after playing a draw with Cape Town City in February.
These two sides faced each other 23 times, Amakhosi won 13, and three fixtures ended with draws meanwhile, Chilli Boys won seven.
