Cape Town City head coach Jan Vreman hopes that fellow title contenders Milford FC’s programme and upcoming fixtures will benefit them as they look to push their way back to Betway Prem promotion.
City missed out on an opportunity to go top of the league table on Tuesday afternoon after a 2-2 draw against Milford though it was positive for City who extended their unbeaten run to 11 matches in the league.
The Cape Town based side will play back-to-back games away from home against Highbury FC in the Eastern Cape before traveling to Limpopo to face Venda FC.
Milford on the other hand face Kruger United before facing Baroka FC and then shift their focus to the Nedbank Cup semis against TS Galaxy.
Vreman analysed Milford’s next fixture and mentioned that their tough schedule maybe could destabilized them as City is only left with Kruger United in the top four.
“It depends. Also, if you look into the programme of Milford, they have a very difficult program,” Vreman told the media.
“Also, they have to play against Kruger, I think also Casric Stars. Okay, we only have now Kruger, but also the teams lower. They also, especially away games.
“It’s not that it’s easy, that it depends what they are doing, or we are doing for us, it’s a very important thing is you have to win games.
“You have to win games if you want on the top of the league.”
