City has been buzzing in the transfer window as they boasted their squad by signing top-quality players for the upcoming season. But what came as a shocker was when defender Marc Van Heerden announced his retirement.

The left-footer, who was the only experienced left-back they had this season, left a big void which led to City playing Keanu Cupido in the left-back position against Sekhukhune United in the MTN8 quarterfinal.
Information received by iDiski Times states that the Citizens have snapped up Ngqongo who previously on the books of Maswaisawi.
The 22-year-old played most of the second half of the season at Swallows and performed exceptionally well.
City hopes Ngqonga will be ready for the MTN8 first-leg semi-final clash against Orlando Pirates next week at DHL stadium.
