Sekhukhune United have extended the stay of Nigerian striker Chibuike Ohizu for a further two years.
Ohizu will finish five years at Sekhukhune having joined them back in November 2020 from Jomo Cosmos. The 28-year-old has made 106 appearances in the colours of Babina Noko and scored 28 goals.
His best season was in 2021/22 and 2023/24 when he scored eight goals for the Limpopo outfit. He is currently sitting on four goals after playing just over 600 minutes, as he has been troubled by injuries, but his return had been good for Eric Tinkler’s side as they are in contention for the CAF interclub spot.
The former Ezenkosi marksman was due to have his contract running out on June 30 but Babina Noko have opted to extend his stay at the club until June 2027.
The Nigerian forward is expected to score more goals for the side and help the club to achieve greater things. The stay of Ohizu will give Tinkler more options upfront with Andy Boyeli also available.
