Double Boost For Chiefs Ahead Of Magesi Clash

Kaizer Chiefs have been given a double boost with the return of Sibongiseni Mthethwa and Aden McCarthy.

Both players missed Sunday’s match at home against Durban City due to suspension.

Amakhosi finally returned to winning ways following their narrow 1-0 win over the Citizens at FNB Stadium to end their winless run of four matches.

Glody Lilepo netted the solitary goal of the match in the 69th minute as the Glamour Boys moved up one spot into sixth, with two games in hand over third-placed Sekhukhune United and AmaZulu in fourth both on 34 points.

“Chiefs will be boosted by the return of Sibongiseni Mthethwa and Aden McCarthy, both of whom missed Sunday’s match due to suspension,” the club said on its website.

“Their availability adds depth to a squad already strengthened by recent recoveries from injury.”

The Glamour Boys welcome Dikwena tša Meetse to Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, 21 March.

The clash gets underway at 18:00.
