Former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Katlego Mashego has hailed Jayden Adams as one of the best midfielders the country has ever produced.
Adams has fit in like a glove at Chloorkop since arriving from Stellenbosch FC in January with two goals from 11 league matches with his side at the top of the log with a 12-point gap. He has also made his debut in the CAF Champions League where Sundowns have reached the semi-finals stage.
The 23-year-old also equally been on song for Bafana Bafana by notching up two goals in the recent 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin.
‘Mahoota’ listed Adams’ qualities, going on to say that the Downs star is different from the norm.
“He’s got everything,” said Mashego on Sports Night Amplified with Andile Ncube.

“He’s got a touch and he’s also now recently a threat on set-pieces and he’s not the tallest of players but the way he times his run to arrive there to arrive in the opposition’s box, you know to head the ball or whether to lay it off for someone and he’s got goals in him.
“He’s just a top player. I’m just so, so happy that finally there’s a midfielder who’s a bit different from the norm and who’s a top, top talent and he can also play football.”
