Durban City are edging closer to securing the signing of Sekhukhune United winger Sphiwe Mahlangu.
iDiski Times has been reliable informed that the deal to Durban City is close to being finalised. The 30-year old spent only six months at Sekhukhune United after completing a move from TS Galaxy in July.
Mahlangu has only played 60 minutes so far this season at Sekhukhune and his exit could be led by lack of game time. Should this deal go through he will be the first signing under new head coach Sinethemba Badela, who replaced Gavin Hunt.
The former TS Galaxy player brings skill and pace from the wide areas and could play a huge role in keeping Durban City in the top eight and hopefully qualify for the MTN8.
City are currently sitting in seventh place with 22 points after 15 games. This is great for a team that recently gained promotion to the South African elite league.
