Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Anthony Akumu has completed a free transfer to J League side Sagan Tosu.
The 30-year-old was part of Chiefs’ massive clearcut ahead of the 2022/23 season and had since been without a club.
However, he was now unveiled as new player by Japanese First Division side Sagan Tosu.
“We are pleased to inform you that Anthony Akum has decided to join Sagan Tosu,” the club said in a statement.
Akumu added: “I am honored to be a member of one of Japan’s leading J1 clubs. I will do my best to have a good season with this club. We look forward to meeting the Sagan Tosu family. Thank you.”
The Kenya international had join Chiefs in 2020 and made 47 appearances for the Glamour Boys before his departure.
