Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Mpho Makola won his first trophy as a coach after leading Viasport FC to the SAFA Johannesburg Hollywoodbets Regional League title this past weekend.
The 39-year-old former Cape Town City maestro called time on his football career to venture into coaching after leaving Polokwane City in 2023 and has not had the worst of starts to his coaching journey.

In only their second season, Viasport FC, under the leadership of former SABC Sport presenter Tshepo Mabona as Chairman have managed to conquer the SAFA Johannesburg Hollywoodbets Regional League.
Makola will now look to lead Viasport in the Inter-Regional Playoffs as they seek promotion to the Gauteng ABC Motsepe League ahead of the 2025/26 season.
