Former Mamelodi Sundowns winger Lesiba Nku officially completed a move to Sekhukhune United this week, with details of his contract now revealed to this publication.
The 29-year-old attacker was transfer-listed alongside Lehlohonolo Mojela by Stellenbosch FC towards the end of last year.
Nku had joined the Cape Winelands outfit midway through the 2024/25 season after parting ways with Betway Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns, where he had previously enjoyed domestic success.
During his time at Stellenbosch, the winger made 35 appearances across all competitions, contributing two goals and four assists, also offering depth in the attacking department.
According to his agent, Lebohang Mashishi, Nku has signed a 17-month contract with Sekhukhune United, which includes an option to extend the deal by a further year.
“It was supposed to be 18 months, but now we’re starting February, so it’s 17 months and an option for another year,” Mashishi told iDiski Times.
It has since emerged that shortly after Nku completed his move to Babina Noko, late offers came from several overseas clubs, including second-tier side from Saudi Arabia, as well as teams from Uzbekistan and India.
It remains to be seen if the interest remain ahead of the next season.
Nku has now been reunited with his former Stellenbosch FC teammates Lehlohonolo Mojela and Thato Khiba at Sekhukhune.
