Belgian coach Luc Eymael has confirmed his exit from Chippa United saying he was not fired but rather parted ways on a friendship agreement.
Eymael arrived at the Chilli Boys in August 2025 and has overseen seven matches including the Carling Knockout defeat to Richards Bay in the last 16 round. In the league, the former Polokwane City and St Eloi Lupopo coach has managed five points out of a possible 18 and leaves the side at the bottom of the Betway Premiership log with six points in 10 outings.
Eymael told iDiski Times how grateful he is to his former chairman Chippa Mpengesi, his staff, players and fans while he thought they could have bagged more points as they were unlucky in some games.
“I have not been fired but we parted ways on a friendship agreement just today,” Eymael told iDiski Times.
“I’m thanking a lot the Chippa fans, and I’m thanking a lot the players for the positive inputs in the training session in the game, despite doing some small mistakes that cost us. But the guys never give up. They always work until the end, like you saw against [Marumo] Gallants, for example, because we deserved the point, like you saw against Polokwane [City]and like you saw against Sekhukhune [United].
“And yes, for the same price, we should have had three points or four points more, should have been fair. We have not been lucky also and I also thank the Chairman for giving me chance to be back here in South Africa.”
