The Mozambican Football Federation (FMF) have confirmed that Dove Edmilson has been withdrawn from the national team by Kaizer Chiefs.
In a statement released ahead of the tournament opener in Gqeberha this evening, the FNF stated he was due to face Bafana Bafana.
Edmilson was training with Os Mambas this week ahead of the game, but is said to have been recalled by Chiefs, where his contract is due to expire on 1 July.

“Edmilson was due to face South Africa tonight, but he has not been allowed by his club, Kaizer Chiefs,” the FMF statement read.
“In response to the letter/request from FMF, sent last June 19, the club only spoke yesterday, the 25th, at 15:50.”
South Africa and Mozambique lock horns at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium ay 18h00.
