TS Galaxy and Kaizer Chiefs have announced their respective starting line-ups for this afternoon’s Betway Premiership clash at Mbombela Stadium.
The Rockets will be determined to end the year 2025 on a winning note after blowing hot and cold in their past few matches.
Galaxy currently sits in eighth place with 20 points after 13 games, scoring 18 goals and conceding 13. Adnan Beganovic’s side come to this game at the back of a goalless draw against Polokwane City away from home. They’ve only lost once at home this season which was against Durban City in the opening game of the season.
Chiefs on the other hand have a chance to finish 2025 in good stead. This is a year that has had lots of ups and downs for them, but the biggest highlight was winning the Nedbank Cup in May ending a 10-years trophy drought. They’ve also qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup group stages. The lows would include not finishing in top eight and failing to play MTN8 back-to-back-to-back.
This afternoon they have a chance to at least close the gap to two points between them and league leaders Orlando Pirates. A draw would still keep them in fifth place.
Mbombela Stadium is not a happy haunting ground for Amakhosi as they last won in 2021 there also only lost once in August 2023. For three games these two sides played draws.
Here is how they lineup:
